Great place!! Family owned and they treat every customer with respect. I have been coming here for about 6 years now and they NEVER disappoint. It is very refreshing to find a mechanic now a days that you can trust and build a relationship with.
This place is amazing! My first time ever coming with my car being super loud along the way but I haven't experienced any customer service better than this. They started working on my car right away and gave me a cheaper price than I expected. Based off the loud annoying sound my belt makes they gave me some advice to look after I politely decline they didn't give me any pressure and I loved that. Family owned and couldn't be better Dave will probably be one of the nicest guys you meet. A must if you have any car trouble!!
Express Auto Service did it again! That's why their business card says "Your Dealership Alternative". This time they saved me a lot of $! The sliding passenger door on my Honda Odyssey van had malfunctioned- non responsive. I previously took it to a AAA certified shop that electronically reset the door- but it still didn't work. Before I take it to the dealer and give them my "arm and leg" as payment, I decided to go to Dave & Connie for a second opinion. Glad I did! They said it wasn't a bad door motor- they checked all the electrical connections and reset it a few more times and now it works! I saved a ton of money and got expert service. I'll say it again: If Jesus ran an auto repair shop, this would be the one!
I love Dave and Connie! They're so friendly and honest. I never feel like I'm over paying and if I have a question they are very quick to fit me in and let me know what's going on with my car. Having a Lexus maintenance can be really unaffordable but not here!! They know exactly what they're doing and even gave me a great reference when I needed to get my smog check done. Very trustworthy and I won't take my car anywhere else!
I completely agree with every 5-star review of Express Auto - including Yelp's definition of 5 stars: 'Woohoo! As good as it gets!" This completely describes Express. Car repair shops are always pretty intimidating - usually I have no idea if what a car place diagnoses is true or if the estimates are based on real costs with a reasonable markup/labor charge (everybody deserves to make a living). But Express is never that way. I've brought a couple different cars here and their recommendations have always made sense, even when it was not in their best financial interest! (E.g., when they suggested I "might want to get a new car" instead of continuing to dump money into my old one.) They are also never condescending to me (one time, an ultimate-driving-machine dealer's repair shop in Kearny Mesa ;-) actually showed me how to BUCKLE the seat belt instead of listening to me explain that the belt was stuck behind the seat in the cargo area!!) (Aaargghh!). They have always treated me with respect. Connie and Dave are the best. I'll make the drive from anywhere to go here.
I couldn't image a better auto repair experience than what I received at the family run business that is Express Auto Service. Unlike my experience at other shops, Dave was very trustworthy from the start. He didn't try to upsell me on anything that wasn't needed and I got a great value for my money. I live in Ramona so it is a bit of a drive for me but I will never go to another shop. Thank you Bennett family.
I love a business that I can trust. Express auto repair will take care of you at the best possible price and will never gouge you with unnecessary repairs. I've had many bad experiences with repair shops so when I found express auto I said "thank you God!"
Great family owned shop. They have worked on my truck three times now and I will continue to use them for the stuff I don't do myself. They seem to take care not to sell their customers services they don't need, while providing quality work and options on parts, giving their customers the opportunity to choose aftermarket or OEM parts when available.
I took my Kia in because it was having problems getting up to speed on the freeway. Dave Bennett checked the computer on it, did a test drive, and took a look at what was going on under the hood. He did this all with no charge. He took the time to explain what needed work. Once he found out what the issue was he contacted Kia to see if he could save me some money with the warranty. He gave me a fair price and the car runs better than when I first got it. He even allowed me to see the parts he replaced. They earned my business.
I have been using Dave and Connie at Express Auto Service for years with good reason....they are TRUSTWORTHY. They are the kind of mechanics that aren't afraid to tell you, "you probably can wait another 2-3 months to replace _______." They know that if you trust them, you will come back. I've referred all my family and friends to them and they all come back with rave reviews. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
